i have not done a good job at posting on tumblr BUT HI EVERYONE!! PMD OCS GO This is Rusty (he/him) and Trusty (they/it) respectively!! Rusty is a hardworking inventor/explorer, and Trusty is his "trusty" companion! (Trusty is a Rotom in case it wasn't clear, they're just possessing an Expedition Gadget!) anyway i love these two so i hope you do too.

I started a new PMD: Explorers of Sky file bc of a friend so meet my funky guys

i am having way too much fun drawing them

a little unscripted/ranty insight into the characters of these two - poppy (hoppip) wants to be a big shot treasure hunter, but is the typical pmd outcast (nobody can stand her overpowering personality)

kit (lickilicky) is the pmds usual human character, but the mixup here is that he gets sent to the world in a much bigger fully evolved form, and he retains all his human memories, so it’s very disorienting and intimidating, especially being a much larger pokemon thats more cumbersome

so kind of like a gentle giant (because hes not used to being big at all)

his human memories arent helping him… he is from a richer family so he was raised in a much fancier environment than this.. (doesnt help his disorienting experience) but also his family was horrible and mistreated him so he was already timid as is, and doesnt really know what its like outside of a closeted / closed off world so he’s easily pushed around

though he is genuinely kind, but also a little airheaded at times

at first poppy pushes him around and uses him since he’s very lost and confused— the only one lost enough to actually accept being her teammate in exchange for some help

he also makes for a good luggage cart for the massive bags she wants to hold treasure in due to his bigger size

but as they travel together she actually comes to really enjoy his company and views him as her friend, typical pmd bestie style (it takes him a while to adjust because he didnt really know what real friends were like either)

Finally drew my Skitty pmd avatar for playthrough purposes. and poured salt over that mofo that is snover from Bidoof special episode, so he deserved it.
